Mortgage Industry Application 

License applications for mortgage broker, mortgage banker, commercial mortgage broker, commercial mortgage banker and loan originator must be submitted through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (“NMLS”).

Date: October 1, 2010

Re: Renewal

The annual renewal period for licensed Mortgage Brokers, Commercial Mortgage Brokers, Mortgage Bankers and Commercial Mortgage Bankers is approaching.  All Arizona licensed Mortgage Brokers, Commercial Mortgage Brokers, Mortgage Bankers and Commercial Mortgage Bankers in any of the following statuses: Approved, Approved-Deficient, Approved-Inactive or Suspended, must request renewal through NMLS.  The renewal period is from 11/01/2010 through 12/31/2010.  On 01/01/2011, any licensed Mortgage Broker, Commercial Mortgage Broker, Mortgage Banker and Commercial Mortgage Banker who did not request renewal and provide the required fees and documents, will have their status changed to Suspended.  In a Suspended status you can not transact business in Arizona and none of your licensed Loan Originators may originate loans.  On 02/01/2011, your license will expire if a Suspended loan originator did not request renewal and provide the required fees and documents.  If your license is expired, you will have to apply for a new license in order to transact business in Arizona.  Click here for directions for renewal

The following are the renewal requirements for the Mortgage Brokers, Commercial Mortgage Brokers, Mortgage Bankers and Commercial Mortgage Bankers and must be attached to the Renewal Fee Form, click here for form

  1. Provide the applicable renewal fee, as listed on the Renewal Fee Form, payable to AzDFI.  Mortgage Brokers, Mortgage Bankers and Commercial Mortgage Brokers will need to include $25.00 per calendar day late fee if you requested renewal after 12/31/2010.
  2. Mortgage Brokers and Mortgage Bankers:  Must include copies of course completion to document your Responsible Individual completed 12 hours of continuing education between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2010.
